Summer Travel Series: Bratislava, Slovakia

In the need of an exciting weekend away filled with character and adventure? Then look no further than the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava! The compact pastel-hued city is situated along the Danube river and can easily be covered by foot.

The Marrol's Boutique Hotel is super luxurious whilst also being conveniently located in the heart of the city centre and offers remarkable views of the Old Town streets - only a short walk from the Slovak National Theatre, St. Martin’s Cathedral and the Primatial Palace. Be sure to set yourself up for a day of exploring with an alfresco breakfast at the hotel's stunning courtyard, filled with beautiful flowers and greenery.

The heart of the city’s history lies at the Hlavne Nam, a historic plaza lined with floral gardens and full of super cute cafes! The Hlavne Nam is also home to the East Slovak Gallery, a carefully curated space filled with contemporary art. While you are there, be sure to capture a few pics of the Roland Fountain (the most famous fountain in the city!). If you need to escape the hustle and bustle of the city centre for a few hours, change into the Thea Fleece Sweatpants and the India Linen Crew Neck Tee and head to the hills for a bike trail or hike at Horsky Park.

The evenings in Bratislava tend to get get a bit cooler so go for a pair of Twiggy High Rise Jeans paired the Britt Island Jacquard Puff Sleeve Top - effortlessly chic. Then head to Prasna Basta to eat with the locals, soak up some of the most breathtaking views of the city and enjoy a fusion of Slovakian and international flavours - we recommend the traditional and super indulgent fried cheese served with chips!
