Spring Travel Series: Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Spring has officially sprung! Make the most of the floral delights and visit Amsterdam in The Netherlands this April - the tulips at Keukenhof Flower Garden are in full bloom and you can celebrate King’s Day at the end of the month with one of the world’s biggest street parties.

Our favourite hotel whenever we visit The Netherlands capital is always Sir Adam. Situated on the first 8 floors of a super cool 70s skyscraper, it is the go-to hang-out spot for creatives - located on the banks of IJ (right behind Central Station). Head to the rooftop for an incredible 360-degree view of the city then find the nearest bicycle hire shop and you are good to go!

Bloemenmarkt is the world's only floating flower market and it is not to be missed when visiting Amsterdam! Hop from houseboat to houseboat and explore all the dreamy floral arrangements the market has to offer. No trip to Amsterdam is complete without visiting one of the many major museums. A personal favourite of ours has to be the Stedelijk museum of modern art, featuring works from the likes of Kandinsky, Matisse and Warhol. A temporary exhibition showcasing the works of Maria Lassing, an Austrian artist regarded as one the leading female artists of the 20th and 21st centuries is also temporarily on display - one not to be missed! With a day packed full of sightseeing, jeans are the only way to go - our new Karolina Jeans have a high waistline and a lighter wash that’s perfect for spring and summer. Team them with a long sleeve tee like the Bridget for a simple-yet-chic day look.

If you are lucky enough to get a reservation, head to MaMa Kellys for an aesthetically pleasing dining experience - very reminiscent of Sketch in Mayfair. We recommend the Lobster for a truly indulgent affair! Pair our Wynonna Jumpsuit with a leather jacket and heels to ensure you match your glamorous surroundings. Head back to the hotel and unwind with a hand-picked vinyl from the hotel's eclectic music room that you can play in your room.

Flights from Gatwick to Schipol take under an hour so what are you waiting for?!?
